i was out there once at the main plant in the jelly room inspecting same for a lawsuit. One of Smucker's employees had fallen and my client had epoxied the floor. The safety officer had warned all of us to be careful. Well..... no sooner had we walked into the jelly room did this klutz lawyer slipmand fall down the steps. Of course, everyone came over to make sure I was fine. All that was hurt was my pride.

I like both Jif and Skippy, as long as it's crunchy. Either makes a great PB&J. I remember several years ago, I was posting on a discussion forum for fans of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy ('The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', etc.) and I happened to mention how odd it seemed, as an American, to read about someone eating cheese and marmalade on toast for breakfast, and one of the Swedish posters got offended and made some derogatory remark about peanut butter and jelly - like this was some kind of bizarre combination. I guess it's what you grow up with. I was not aware that Smuckers owned 'Jif'. THE BEST jelly to use in a PB&J, bar none, is Smucker's Black Raspberry. Soft wheat bread with a light coating of real butter on one slice, chunky peanut butter and Smucker's Black Raspberry jelly. You can't buy it in Arizona for some reason; my sister back in Indiana mails me six or eight jars every year.

Theres a brand of preserves thats a NJ company and ive never seen it anywhere but Jersey and New York called Pollaner that is damn good stuff too

I love chunky peanut butter but I not big on jelly at all, the only thing ill eat a little of is preserves on toast. I never eat PB&J sammichs, I eat pnut butter and banana sammichs

My favorite! PB & B! As to jams, my favorite, when I can get them, come from eastern Europe. They are 100% fruit and really thick. Thicker than Smuckers. No grass seed and pectin added.

The only food items that are MINE are avocados, broccoli and cauliflower.

Never cared for avocados, but I love cauliflower (with cheese sauce) and broccoli. She Who Must Be Obeyed can't stand the smell of either being steamed, so I have to wait till she's out of the house to indulge.

Skippy "natural" chunky. Also, crunchy almond butter from wal mart.

Natural peanut butter that you have to stir first. That's my preference. I like smuckers, but my local grocery store will actually grind up the peanuts right there to order.
