I sure do. Cheap, affordable, energy is the key to economic growth along with reasonable emissions. Not gestapo style,'fear mongering , Obama promising, rate raising, idiocy when it comes to America's energy needs. I worked in the refineries and chemical plants for many years. I also run almost totally solar at my house. I'm not talking about the run of the mill sell into the grid with a minimum investment. I have a simple system that stores electricity. The batteries are very expensive along with the inverter but I can go off grid anytime I like. Great for hurricane country.

edit: this is the key to energy independence!
Solar only works on a house to house basis. Large scale solar is impractical and a scam.

The energy companies are fighting this tooth and nail. They don't want to pay going rates for solar grid input. They want to pay the homeowner "wholesale" prices for energy fed into the grid.

Its a debate that offers many opinions.

The energy companies offer us cheap, dependable electricity and have a legitimate concern that customer base and economies of scale will erode their "profit base".

Im all for alternative energy if it is affordable. @Common Sense

Investing in the future is also key to economic growth.

“Behind the scenes, what brought Abengoa to the United States, based on my research, [was] Al Gore,” Alhalabi said in an interview. “He promised to bring U.S. dollars to the company.”
Alhalabi also singled out Sen. Diane Feinstein (D., Calif.), saying she was part of Gore’s team working behind the scenes to support Abengoa’s activities in her home state.
Feinstein in 2010 asked then-Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to expedite an environmental review of one of its stimulus-backed solar plants, despite concerns that it could impact endangered species in the area.

Gotta love the fake California environmentalists looking to kill all the little fish.

Alternative energy is cheaper and cleaner (without subsidies).

The only people who want coal are Trump, his billionaire buddies, and unenlightened people who believe that coal is cheap and clean.

It's good to see that you know what all people want.

Which alternative energy source is effective?

There's more than just the politically correct sources of energy. Not everyone agrees with you politically correct granola crunching types.

Engaging in Clichés doesn't solve anything. It makes you feel better though.

Wow. When do we start colonizing other planets because we ruined Earth?

Why can companies dump toxins in waterways and I can't? Why does big business have more rights than I do? I can't even throw a battery in the garbage.

The last one is the cost of electricity by source.

Coal is expensive, dirty and nobody wants it except Trump and his billionaire friends.
