Gun control laws disarm the law abiding. Criminals disregaurd all laws. This is pure common sense! Duhh!!!

That may only apply to the USA. Where I come from (the UK) there are between 30 and 60 deaths from firearms (all causes) a year. The figure for the US (all causes) is roughly 33,000. And I know there are 5 times as many Americans as there are Brits, but the figures still don't stack up.

And how old is that doco? The video is awful, and who wears a walrus mustache like that these days?

I used to support sensible gun measures but at this point I no longer do.

Give the hard left an inch they'll try to take the whole football field.

Nothing that is currently in place is going to prevent thugs from getting and using guns. So get rid of it all, stop making the legal gun owner jump through flaming hoops.

Take the gang bangers killing gang bangers out and our figures look like Europe's.

Take the gang bangers killing gang bangers out and our figures look like Europe's.

No they don't, and I am not talking about Europe, I am talking about the UK - the European country where hand guns are not allowed to be carried. And the UK figures include accident and suicide just like the US ones do.

And taking certain categories of gun violence out of the statistics is like saying we are a very peaceful nation if you ignore the wars we start. Doesn't matter what part of your community does it, gun violence is a part of your nation. Sorry, but if you want to brag about your rights under the second amendment, you have to wear the violence they bring. An armed society may be a polite society (provided you think it's polite to shoot each other,) but it is also a partly dead society.

The problem that we have is that we don't trust each other to be sensible. Most of us think that 'sensible gun regulation' really means a step towards banning. After Sandy Hook, the gun grabbers rhetoric was out in full force. This leads to the distrust. Yes, we have the 2nd Amendment which was intended to guard against tyranny, rather than foreign invasion. I've always said of my anti-gun friends: If you think you can change it, go for it.



By the way, we sent rifles to aid in the defense of your homefront. Major John Hession's rifle is legendary here in gun circles.

Actually, if you take out the 6% of the population, black males, who commit over 50% of the murders the figures aren't far from Europe's. And, wait until Europe has a majority of middle-easterners living in Great Britain, France, Germany, and Scandinavia.
