No, I don't think they wanted to stop them. But, the article portrays that point of view.

Ys it does along with the photo op showing the nice Canadians helping escapees from bad Trump land. It's just the usual $#@!.

But yep it's fantastic to hear loads are actually heading to Canada. It makes a change to see them leaving rather than always trying to get in.Trump is already making such a difference.

I never would have thought I'd live to see the day that refugees were fleeing America.

Let them go. I don't see a problem here. After all, the door swings both ways.

Correct, and those that believed that these immigrants are a danger should know that crossing back into the US is a piece of cake. We gonna need another wall in the north? Just remember one too many walls only turns the Nation into a Prison.

As a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer seized their passports and questioned a man in the front passenger seat of a taxi that had pulled up to the border in Champlain, New York, four adults and four young children fled the cab and ran to Royal Canadian Mounted Police on the other side.
One by one they scrambled across the snowy gully separating the two countries. RCMP officers watching from the other side helped them up, lifting the younger children and asking a woman, who leaned on her fellow passenger as she walked, if she needed medical care.
The children looked back from where they had come as the U.S. officer held the first man, saying his papers needed to be verified.

So border patrol was trying to stop refuges from leaving? Why?

Its not a matter of good riddence. If you want to leave the country, why should we stop you?

As an alternative we could always build a wall and have America pay for it.

A modern take on "The Sound of Music" where the Von Trapps flee the Nazis.
News: Rich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor people.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.
