I never really worried about her, we taught her our values and hoped they were stronger than hormones. We did always play this little game before she left the house. Her date had to come inside to pick her up, that was a given. Then she would ask in front of him, what time do you want me home and I would say 11:00 O'Clock, and she would say, no, 12:00 O'Clock and I would say, ok, make it 11:30. That always told the boy there were limits on how long she could stay out. She never once broke that curfew, although there were a few times I had to turn the front porch light on at 11:30

When my oldest first started dating Sam, her now-husband, he pulled in and she ran out (I think she was afraid he'd get 'the treatment.') The next morning, after Mass, I told her 'Ally, a gentleman would come to the door if he respects you'. From that date on, through her college, pharmacy school and residency he always came to the front door. I love that kid.

The middle school my daughter attended has a Mother/Son, Father/Daughter dance. It's pretty damn sick that anyone could even see such things, from a carnal perspective. As it turned out, I escorted my daughter to the dance. Everyone had a lot of fun.
