There is remarkably little interracial marriage for such a diverse population. Triumphant articles are published every so often heralding a new multi-racial world but anyone with a critical eye will quickly notice that by including Hispanic as a race they grossly inflate the number of "interracial" marriages. For example, if I were to marry a white girl from Uruguay it would be an "interracial marriage".

America is a multi-racial nation. It will continue to be a multi-racial nation and people will fall in love with whomever they choose. The idea that race = culture is declining. Ultimately people who are 2'nd, 3'rd or 4th generation Americans should not see race as culture. It's only people who are obsessed with an anachronistic status quo who perpetuate divisions.

You wouldn't know. The very people who compile these stats are doing exactly that.

But then there was this multiracial family in town whose children looked odd. Dark skin but not a pretty dark, kind of a dusky dark, and frizzy orange hair. I'm not sure why that combination took that turn.

Interracial themed messages are constantly on television. The theme is always the same. A handsome black man is the love interest of the attractive white woman. I watched Supergirl last night. Lo and behold a black jimmy Olsen is the love interest of the white (illegal alien?) supergirl.

I watched TV this morning. USAA had a commercial showing a white former marine attractive woman with her handsome black former marine husband and their two biracial children.

Is it intentional?
