The rich will, for example, be taxed more. Of that, he has left no doubt. The Republicans are trying, yet again, to obstruct. But he has the overwhelming support of the American people.

If the GOP does not want to become totally irrelevant and lose the mid-terms in a landslide, it had better co-operate.
You don't need the gop...just do as you please.

What does that first sentence mean. Do you know?

and the second sentence? He is free of special interests? HAHAHAHAHAH. And Obama is not going to let 'them' get away with murder this time....well...we'll just see about that, won't we.

I really don't think you have a clue about what is coming. And neither do you have an inkling of what obama is going to do or what he has said he is going to do. If you did, you'd be asking mama for your pacifier. And you, jackass are not even an american....what the hell am i even responding to you for.

You are responding because you are an infuriated, dumb and ignorant little neo-con.

I imagine you are waving the Stars and Stripes and singing Yankie Doodle as we speak.

Meanwhile Latinos are dancing to mariachi bands.

Obama bailed the banks and auto industry not because they were his pals but because the US economy would have tanked out of sight if he had not done so. The standard was pure pragmatism, not ideology or principle.

Where I blame Obama is in letting himself be handcuffed to special interests who contributed to his 2008 campaign. The result of that is that criminal financiers and warmongers (including Bush and Cheney) were not prosecuted for their crimes and even managed a lite Frank-Dodds financiaL market regulation.

This time around I doubt that Obama will make the same mistake. Or need to. Special interest money went overwhelmingly to the GOP for the 2012 election. He has no reason to look on them favourably, and my guess is that he will not.

We shall see Hobbit. Obama will either go Marxist on us or go underground and try to cover up his first term scandals. I vote on the latter.

What do you mean by "Marxist"?

    What "scandals"?

Great post. But you are wrong about Obama bailing out the banks. Wrong call. He should have let them fail. That is how the market works. Failure is not rewarded. To reward failure is to keep failure around. Not smart, right?

Keep up the good Hobbit discussion.

What he did and what he should have done is simply a matter of whether you wanted a return to the 1930s or not.

You like dole queues and starving families?

I am a Kiwi. How could I possibly know anything about the US?
