The notion of fake news started with Trumplings trying to smear truthful allegations against Donald Trump. Reality isn't a Trumpling's friend, which likely explains their alternative facts (another creation from Team Trump). Considering the average education of a Trump voter (according to polls), it's no surprise that 47% of them believed Pizzagate was real.
I'm not saying it takes a good education to be critical, but the less critical somebody is, the more likely they seem to be a Trump fanatic. There are many such fanatics defending Trump's wiretapping claim, for example. These are not people who look for evidence; they use feelings rather than facts.
Here are the biggest fake news stories of 2016, and they mostly flatter Trump:
- "Pope Francis shocks world, endorses Donald Trump for president"
- "Donald Trump sent his own plane to transport 200 stranded marines"
- Pizzagate
- "Ireland is now officially accepting Trump refugees from America"
- "WikiLeaks confirms Hillary sold weapons to ISIS … Then drops another bombshell"
- "FBI agent suspected in Hillary email leaks found dead in apartment murder-suicide"
- "FBI director received millions from Clinton Foundation, his brother’s law firm does Clinton’s taxes"
- "ISIS leader calls for American Muslim voters to support Hillary Clinton"
- "Hillary Clinton in 2013: ‘I would like to see people like Donald Trump run for office; they’re honest and can’t be bought’"
- "RuPaul claims Trump touched him inappropriately in the 90s"

In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

I'm sorry, I respectfully disagree. If it was him, and having followed the John Demjanjuk case - I don't know, I think that he should be deported, plead guilty and then be given a suspended mercy sentence, but die with the world knowing that he was a Nazi killer. I think it's important for mankind to hunt these genocide perpetrators to the ends of the earth to their last days. His age should impact the sentence, IMHO, but not the decision to charge. I would do the same to the ISIS barbarians - never rest.
