Inn-N-Out and Five Guys, in that order, should be #1 and 2.

White castle... lol, its not even meat. Like Arbys, its like... meat jello or something.

I ate at a white castle once like 15 years ago, the next day I thought I $#@! my $#@!ing liver out, it was disgusting.

In-N-Out, which we just got here in Arizona a few years ago, is pretty good, especially for the price, but nothing exceptional. Their customer service is unmatched, though.

Hey, I just remembered the name of the burger place in San Diego that was so good - at least it was forty years ago - and I think it's a chain, too. Boll Weevil.

I just can't really eat fast food burgers. Especially McDonalds. I'd rather buy some ground beef and put it on the grill.

I ate at White Castle once, many years ago, and the deal was 4 for a dollar. They were inexpensive but very small. The taste? Poor!

Boll Weevil is great, one of those things that make San Diego a great city to visit.

I don't eat there also, at those places. Once every couple years maybe if that, in a pinch like driving across country, we stopped at a McD's for an "on the road" dinner. I felt like $#@! for like 3 days afterward.

It's hard to get an honest burger anywhere anymore, I don't get it. It's like the simplest thing to make.

We do ours at home also, either grilled or baked in the oven if I don't feel like grilling. 80/20 beef makes the best IMO.
    my junk is ugly

Back in the 1950s, small town in piney woods, we had a drive-in with great hamburgers. The entire high school would gather there on Friday and Saturday nights if there wasn't a football/basketball game. Both the drive-in and the high school were small. Great hamburgers and then the owner/cook got busted. It seems the hamburgers weren't hamburger. They weren't even meat. He put loaves of stale bread and beef blood in a press, pressed it into a block, ran it through a meat grinder, and grilled it.Tasty but no meat.

Just goes to show. We really are omnivores.
