But when it degenerates into calling each other foul names, insulting one another's ancestry or gender, and attacking the person directly vs. his/her opinions or beliefs....that's when a line need to be drawn and a warning given. And FWIW, there are several regulars from BOTH sides that are guilty of going too far. I think the mods are quite capable of making these distinctions to make the forum a comfortable place for all.
Agree, though our policy as mods has been address "obnoxiousness", as you very well define it, only if it disrupts a topic.
