This is a serious, informational, pass-the-word thread for people with chronic pain, and really does not require any commentary, one way or another. So I would appreciate it if the usual suspects would just STFU, butt out, and go jack off somewhere.
My wife was beaten all the time as a child, and subsequently suffers from chronic lower back pain. And I have rather severe arthritis. So the cannabis strains we always look for are ones with a high CBD to THC ratio. Several months ago I found one... and then lost it.
There was (now closed) a small dispensary in Garden Grove that on Weedmaps showed some really good prices for some supposedly really righteous flower. One of the strains advertised was something called Harley Sue. I could find nothing on that strain, except a cross reference to a quite rare strain called Harle-Tsu. I assumed that the person who posted the info didn't know how to spell the latter. Hey... potheads.
So I visit the dispensary, and find that this "Harley Sue" is two large jars of crappy, dried-out, brittle tiny flowers. With seeds no less - dozens of them, large, dark and heavy. But at $5 a gram, or a full ounce for $60[1].... So I buy one gram, just to try it out... and went back the next day and popped $120 for two full ounces of it.
Because holy hell, it works. My wife took two hits off her pipe and the back pain totally disappeared for three hours. And she did NOT get high.
I called around and found someone who could take a few of the seeds and a small sample and test it. It was, indeed, Harle-Tsu. And it has a 20:1 CDB to THC ratio.
The parents of Harle-Tsu (https://www.leafly.com/hybrid/harle-tsu) are Harlequin (https://www.leafly.com/sativa/harlequin) and Sour Tsunami (https://www.leafly.com/hybrid/sour-tsunami).
It is the best damned thing for pain I have ever encountered. It gives Vicodin a run for it's money. And it will not get you high. An entire pipe of several hits will get you just about the buzz of one light beer.
So if you toke, and have pain, seek out some Harle-Tsu.
And now I can't find any of it, anywhere. But yes... I have a small vial of seeds. They are worth their weight in gold.
[1](The price was so low because the grower was apparently glutted with various strains of flower. Wholesale weed prices have plummeted from $2600 to $800 per pound here, and there are huge oversupplies clogging the supply chain.)
