They've played the race/misogynist card too many times. It's like crying wolf. No one listens or cares anymore.

Honestly, I haven't been following the Susan Rice thing, so I have no opinion on that. As for Cobb, I must confess that I am floored. I've just ordered a copy of that book, and am actually delighted to discover there's a good chance that everything I've always believed about Ty Cobb the man is untrue. If the truth is as the author in that video states it, I've been guilty of perpetuating the slander for years, and I will attempt to make up for it in the days remaining.

My favorite story about Cobb - about his being tagged in the mouth by Honus Wagner while trying to steal second base in Game One of the 1909 World Series - I recently learned didn't happen. Wagner was the greatest overall player in the history of The Game, and he outplayed Cobb at every turn during that Series, but the two were good friends off the field and Wagner called Cobb a gentleman.
