Something that disturbs me is how few people fully understand their rights in legal situations. I honestly don't know the answer to this, but are US high school students not required to take mandatory civics and history classes?

    In fairness, the identities of local candidates are not always easy to find. Even harder to find is their political views. As I said, that all depends on where you live.

    That is sad. I make it a point to know these things. I write letters. Make calls. Generally let them know that I'm out here watching them. I've called Sherrod Brown regularly. I think they track the calls. I live in a county that hasn't voted democrat in 200 years. I'm not sure he could even find it.
