Majority of Americans can't name a single supreme court justice

They shouldnt be allowed to vote, if they are that ignorant and oblivious

Poll: As Gorsuch Hearings Kick Off, Majority of Americans Can't Name a Single SCOTUS Justice

Respondents were asked to name just one of the nine justices sitting on the US Supreme Court, and fully 57 percent came up empty. It's not as though the Court hasn't factored into any major news stories in recent years; between the Citizens United, same-sex marriage, Hobby Lobby, and Obamacare cases, there have been some blockbuster rulings in very recent memory. Surely most people could call to mind Chief Justice Roberts or the 'Notorious RBG,' right? Nope, with young people (a majority of whom in a separate poll see Donald Trump as an 'illegitimate' president) leading the ignorant pack.

Most people are drooling idiots, that's evidenced by a lot of the $#@! we see here.

    Hooray for democracy...

    That's just sad.

Yet, many could probably tell you the starting lineup for a pros sports team or the actors in a Hollywood movie.

Just goes to show how upside-down our values are today.

Just saying there are way more important things to be concerned about with regards to voters. Many Americans simply vote the R or D with absolutely no knowledge for example of who the VP Candidate is or the stances of those they vote for...

We are a representative democracy. Most people don't know their representatives. That is sad.

Most Americans realize on some level that the system is rigged, which is why they don't bother voting or following politics closely. From their perspective, it's a waste of their time and they are largely right. It makes very little difference what Americans want because we live under a de facto oligarchy. So, really, what's the point of knowing who this or that supreme court justice is? It's not like it's going to make their lives better.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

I disagree. I simply think most Americans are ignorant and don't take the time to educate themselves.
