It amazes me just how ignorant some people can be. I have been able to name US Supreme Court justices since I was in high school... and I am Canadian. I do not understand how people don't get exposed to the information or retain it.

I can name all the SCOTUS Justices and the president that appointed them even if you ambushed me on the street with the question. Who gives a $#@!? It's completely, 100% irrelevant. We have, realistically, no say in their appointment or decision-making. There's no guarantee that the president we vote for will even pick a justice we want. Even Saint Ronald Reagan of Blessed Memory appointed a liberal justice and liberal presidents have appointed conservative justices.
This is fluff stuff. I would be more concerned if they couldn't name a single SCOTUS case.

Most people find politics boring. There's a reason we average a dismal 55% voter turnout (in presidential election years). That's fine. Nobody should be obligated to care about politics. Some people just want to live their lives and do their best to get by.
Time to stop shaming people for not devouring politics like political junkies like me.
