Welcome Mechanic, and I think you may find that this place is a bit different. The mods are very tolerant, and there is big membership involvement with the running.
AFIK, no one gets banned for telling the truth - if you can respect the few rules (no trolling, no personal attacks, and posting in good faith,) there is almost no chance you will get banned.
I hope you enjoy your stay here.
BTW, I think I might enjoy becoming a mechanic when I leave school (cos I like mechanical things, and I pull apart and service my model aero-engines often,) but I don't think my mouldies will allow that - I have to go to university and take up a profession.
Oh, I wish I were a glow worm,
for a glow worm's never glum,
'cause how can you be grumpy
when the sun shines out your bum!

Hey @Crepitus - sorry to be a pain in the ass, I looked up a bunch of rebuild kits and none of them seemed to have floats in them. Googled floats and couldn't find them in parts but I didn't scour the net yet.
This is a common replacement kit out there for a Yamaha Grizzly 660 carb:

If finding the right kit is a pain in the ass, I'm thinking about just getting the whole carb for what it costs.
my junk is ugly
People who think a movie about plastic dolls is trying to turn their kids gay or trans are now officially known as
Barbie Q’s
i had an xk140 back in the late 70's
beautiful car and on the occasions when it actually ran right, a dream to drive
they invented intermittent everything for that car, though
a friend told me the reason is that the brits kept using natural rubber for insulation from their former colonies when everyone else went to synthetic.
either way, the two happiest days of a jag owner are the same as a boat owners, imo.
