Do you order cold stuff also ? like milk and butter and meat or is it just dry goods
Anything we need is what we order, Yes Safeway has trucks that have compartments for frozen, cold and regular products. Ant spray to Beer, they deliver it all.

Do they charge a fee? Most likely, right?

They have a long list of specials, if you pick 5 of those items (everything from chewing gum to frozen) your delivery is free on orders of $150, otherwise it's $10. We have never paid for delivery in two years.

Amazon wants to get in on home food delivery in a big way. I heard they even have a pilot facility in the Phoenix area. They don't deliver everything yet as its kind of a market test thing. When they go full scale others will want to compete. Walmart will jump in if Amazon does well. When you think about it things could be much better. Stores have limited shelf space so they only stock what moves but if it comes from a warehouse to home they could offer many more choices. I think major stores in the future will be warehouses. You'll shop online or with your smart phone and schedule a pickup or delivery time. They'll have to make sure your goods are ready when you are or it won't work. They'll have to make sure you get good fresh stuff or it won't work. If its like shopping online at Amazon you'll see a bunch of choices and be able to compare. You'll be able to access customer comments to help you make the right decision and I'd bet the phone apps and online setup will have "favorites" of things you already like embedded into your account. I think its going to happen. You might even be able to send your self driving smart car down to the warehouse to pick up your goods unless delivery is cheaper.

Walmart already has a full grocery program. You order on their website, they get your order ready on your scheduled pickup time you drive up they load it in your car for you. $30 minimum free of charge otherwise. They have delivery also but only in certain markets.

You'll never see it. Can you imagine what it would take to lift and fly $200 worth of groceries?

My old lady switched her prescriptions from CVS to a local outfit, free delivery and they let you run a monthly(interest free) tab.

And they give free diabeties (?) meters with test strip purchase.
