The Greatest Sporting Event You Ever Saw-in person

On Sunday 8/12/84, I drove from Hunstville, AL to Atlanta to see the Braves/Padres play.
It rained hard and caused a lengthy delay, I remember some vendors saying the game wouldn't be played. Having already started drinking, we decided to wait it out. And were we ever rewarded.
I never saw the replay of the game which the Braves won 5-3, but I wish I could. Thanks to Google and youtube and the internet, a lot of info is available after all these years.
The game included at least three bench-clearing brawls, a great many players, both managers, several coaches ejected, many fans arrested, players charging up into the stands after fans who threw things at them.
I've seen a lot in my 64 years, but nothing like that!

Boy, I don't know. That's a tough one. In terms of being for the marbles, maybe Game 7 last year's world series. (Remember, Cleveland fan)

I've only ever been to one World Series game, and that was Game 2 of the 2001 WS between the Diamondbacks and Yankees. Randy Johnson throwing a close one till late in the game when Matt Williams hit a three-run dinger into the left field bleachers.

Game 2 of the NLDS in 2007, in which series the Diamondbacks swept the Cubs - the game where Cubs pitcher Ted Lilly, frustrated at giving up a home run, threw his glove down on the mound like the kid from Bad News Bears.

By far the best actual fight between teams I've ever seen in person was the one between Team Canada and Team Mexico at Chase Field during the 2013 World Baseball Classic. This was not your typical shouting and shoving match - this was guys on the ground getting their faces pounded. Good times!

The NFC championship game between Seattle and SF won by Seattle on a great play by Richard Sherman in the final seconds of the game.

I did go to the Winter Olympic Games in Whistler in 2010. I spent most of that time skiing. Only saw a couple of events. The partying in the village at night was cool though.
