    Oh HELL yeah!

Though I kept thinking that he came across more as a New Jersey Mob Boss. But then again, why not?

It perfectly captured the essential pettiness and vindictiveness that Satan is sometimes described as having (though the character in the movie also seemed much more complicated than that.

Question for the forum: this movie portrayed the angel Gabriel as a sadistic psycho. I've noticed that kind of characterization several times in various novels. Why is that?

Yes, I know that Gabriel is God's personal "hit-angel" and is generally portrayed as a bad-ass, but still, why the ramp-up-to-11 treatment?

How about Emmanuelle Seigner as a (presumably) transgendered Satan in The Ninth Gate?

I don't think he was.....other than being mentioned. Christopher Walken was the returning star as Gabriel. The Angel of Death.

DeNiro had a good role in Angel Heart. Where DeNiro play Louis Cypher. Best line.....You know some religions think the egg is the symbol of the Soul. Then asks Mickey Rourke.....did you know that. Rourke says no I didn't know that. DeNiro then ask him if he would like an egg. Rourke take a pinch of salt and throws it over his shoulder and says nah I got a thing about Chickens. Then DeNiro starts eating the egg.

The second best Tim Curry role ever.
Since he's had so many great roles, which would you say is his best? Just out of curiosity.

    Great exchange in The Prophecy.

Gabriel (Walken): "This war is mine!"
Satan (Mortensen): "Your war is arrogance. That makes it evil. That's mine."

How about Gabriel Byrne in Schwarzenegger's End of Days? One of my favorites.

Yeah that was another good one. Also, Peter Fonda as the Devil in Ghost Rider.
