I'm posting a discussion about it here. If there is no discussion, there will be nothing done about it. If there is nothing done, world poverty will not be alleviated.

I'm posting this in the hopes that a conversation turns into a discussion that might somehow make a difference somewhere down the road.

What are you doing to help? Or was that comment your contribution.

Harm is by coercion and only government can do that.

Remember when Hill decided that all childrens' vaccines were gonna be free or greatly reduced in price.
They disappeared. Not because 'BIIIIIG Pharma' didn't want to help but how can you do that stuff with NO. MONEY?

Perfect example of Big Gov't not understanding the principle of business and they made it worse...as usual.

Ok, i accept your point concerning government coercion, but my point still stands. Profits at the cost of inflicting financial pain on others is greedy and evil. That the government shares responsibility just makes it worse.

I'm sure this has something to do with the concerns about world poverty, but i'm just not seeing it.

Poverty is created by big government.
Bailouts for businesses that don't succeed within the free marketplace in a capitalist nation is big government.
The problem is with your political party and the political parties of most of the world, not with us.

My contention is can only happen through government and business collusion.

Man is naturally greedy but in the free market finds he must cooperate to compete for what he wants. That's the economic means. The political means bypasses that and legitimes harm, theft.
