You're right, you don't have to tell me. I already have a pretty good idea.

You asked me, i told you. It's the best this disabled guy living on a fixed income can do right now. Sorry if that's not good enough for you, but (and don't take this personally) i really didn't post this thread hoping that it might make you happy, y'know?

I don't have to make excuses. But let me tell you something. If you do nothing, then shut your mouth. Talking about it does nothing for it. Putting your money where your mouth is what works.

True. The fact is the free market and its interaction with government will almost always work to the detriment of the american consumer. The only way to avoid that is for the enterprise to exercise restraint and avoid government as much as possible.

Oh... so you're one of those who thinks that "just throwing money at it" is the answer. Loser.

    I don't need your excuses. They're worthless.

cheeseandcrackers you need to shut up. this is nothing but idiocy. Government should leave business alone. Tell me how these regulations by gov't are aiding the start of business or the economy.

Blad, it ain't a free market if it is manipulating government or being manipulated by government. You're right, most of the time when it comes to government involvement in the free market, the little guy gets screwed. There's a good reason Goldman Sachs gave Obama so much money. So he would take care of them.

And he did. He took very good care of the banksters and the wall street fraudsters. Romney is going to have to work very hard to top Obama in that department.

The free market is not free if in collusion with government it's coerced and managed to death. What we're talking about are business exceptions to the rule of the free market, exceptions that use political means. But they, these business, are a necessary evil, government, which possesses and hands out power as favors, is the sufficient evil here.

Yes, yes, I know, some government is needed, but--and to solve this problem--it should be limited to protecting peoples' properties and rights--from business, sure, but also from itself.

The video gives an interesting version of the history, causes and the current situation world poverty today. Note 54 minutes into the video, they discuss the actions of the World Bank and the IMF used against the small third-world countries struggling to develop their their economies. If you don't know anything about this, you should listen.
