Like I said above, YUGE difference between being helped into office and having sometimes-tenuous Venn Diagram connections, and having active, on-going relationships.
But in JFK's case, I don't think Bobby would have stood for it.
This thread has me brooding. I hope to hell one day we learn the real story behind the 60's assassinations. Yeah, I don't think we know diddly squat about what really happened. In my opinion there was a slow coup (or perhaps a culling, or a "shaking out") over six key years... but by whom, and against whom, is... unclear.
