That's what I figured. And I'm not saying Assad's forces didn't do it. It's entirely possible that they did. But it would be prudent to have some EVIDENCE before we jumped to conclusions. The biggest reason why Obama did not follow through on his "red line" the last time something like this happened is because intelligence analysts doubted whether Assad's forces were really responsible. In other words, Obama's refusal to attack Assad's forces the last time something like this happened was a WISE move.

So the White House blamed Obama for the Syria gas attack. There were 77 words in Trump's Syria statement on Assad's use of chemical weapons, and 32 of them were about Obama. Many of them were about Obama's alleged inaction despite the fact that Trump had repeatedly asked Obama to not interfere in Syria.


Never let a tragedy go to waste. Over half of Trump's statement was about Obama.
