Starts off fine, with maybe room to argue one or two, but starting 1949 the books hardly seem worth it. The Bible vs Harry Potter, come on! But that's popularity.

I would think the Lord of the Rings would top Harry Potter and 50 Shades.

50 shades of Grey was garbage. The Harry Potter books were kinda neat for escapism.

I've read most of the others (as I'm sure most of you have) but don't really have much opinion on their popularity.

50 Shades was garbage, Harry Potter was decent for escapism if you ignore how similar all the books are. The Lord of the Rings is a better story than both of them combined.

Wow wouldn't that be a scary story? 50 Shades of Harry Potter?
