The shooting war would last for months or even years unless we used nukes... ISIS has been around for quite awhile and they don't consider their leaders a living God.
Seoul would be destroyed completely and Japan stands a good chance of taking a beating...
World economy would be devastated in the short term but once the industrialization of war kicked in it would be fine until the war ended. Then reconstruction would be a windfall.... This of course assuming nukes wouldn't be involved.
I find your lack of faith...disturbing...

Their weapon systems are outdated, unreliable and they can't sustain in a prolnged war. They can't resupply. Even if they could, they don't have the supplies.
They have about 1.5 million soldiers. They would lose a large portion of them on our initial strike.
Their entire population is approximately 25 million.
They would be crushed within hours.

They have large reserves. Up to 4 million. Their weapons are outdated, but still effective against a target like Seoul.
The US certainly could crush them, but I don't think it's as easy as some think and the attack on Seoul could be devastating. They literally have thousands of rockets and howitzers targeting the south. It would be very difficult to minimize their initial attack.
I guess they could enlist women and children and boost their numbers.
They could cause trouble in Seoul for about five minutes then their society as they know it would end.
There are fas superior forces in the South ready to respond instantly.

They'd need more than that.
Besides, if gets to that point they will have to mobilize and that would put US and South Korean forces in a ready posture. They can't level Seoul short of an all out nuclear and what exactly is their ability to deliver these weapons?
The North Koreans have no chance. They might not think so, but the Chinese know
Cause trouble? While their weapons are outdated, the thousands of targeted artillery platforms and hundreds of rocket and missile platforms could kill tens of thousands of south Korean civilians in minutes.
The US military is far superior, but the north could certainly put up an ugly fight. In my mind the best strategy is clandestine action and the support of a coup.
