Weight loss is instinctual and should be common sense to a point. One of the biggest obsticals in weight loss that I've seen is people not factoring in the calories that drinks and things like salad dressings have.

Some of the $#@! I see at work...people take a zero calorie beverage and turn it into a dessert.

Good luck with your new book! One of the issues I've noticed with diet-type cookbooks is that the recipes call for ingredients that aren't always stocked in you local supermarket. The other thing is that if your friend's wife is a fantastic cook and she likes it -- it might not be a beginner cookbook.

In my opinion, a diet for weight loss can be summed up in one sentence, "Sugar is a poison"

By ridding your diet of sugar, you'll be rid of virtually ever food that causes you to gain weight. Just my two cents, of course. I cook a LOT, even though I don't care for it, because we eat mostly vegan and no processed foods or additives. The good news is that creating great food is a science. But, that's also the bad part if you don't want to go to culinary school.

Share your impressions of the book when you get it.

It could also be that they are losing weight because they are now working out at the gym. Unless your diet is chock a block with sugars and carbohydrates, the only other reason for gaining weight is eating too much and exercising too little.

Thats true, I know what to eat to keep weight off along with knowing how to exercise. The thing with us is more variety in food. From what was explained to me by our friends the meals are healthy and very tasty. Eh for 6 bucks ill give it a read

Take L-Carnatine on an empty stomach every morning. Ride an exersize bike for 30 minutes. Eat Oatmeal with a multi-vitamin. Eat your lunch that is carb friendly. Do your work and come home to another 30 minute bike ride after a non-carb high protein dinner. All the green leafy plants and nuts you want between feedings. Sex will net you 360 calories burned and any extra things being done will also. Every Friday eat a pizza. My 2 cents.
