I totally agree - I love my mum (and my dad) but I don't think she is perfect in every way, or better than every other mum who ever lived (glad she doesn't read this ). Like she has several university degrees, but the one she really deserves is a Ph.D in nagging. She is convinced Western Civilisation will come to an end if there is a single sock left lying on my bedroom carpet, and if I use the incorrect past participle. But I can still love her knowing she is not perfect.
