Soul singer Cuba Gooding Sr., 72, found dead inside car in Woodland Hills

Gooding’s body was slumped over the wheel of his Jaguar in 22100 block of Ventura Boulevard about 1 p.m., according to officials.
LAPD officials said there were no signs of foul play and that the investigation had been turned over to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office to determine the cause of death. Paramedics who responded to the scene tried to revive the singer.
Sources familiar with the investigation but not authorized to discuss the death said alcohol containers and drug paraphernalia were found in Gooding’s car.
Gooding, 72, rose to fame as the lead singer of The Main Ingredient and was known for hits including “Everybody Plays the Fool” and “Just Don’t Want to be Lonely.”
