Recycling is a big deal where I am from (not sure if it is the city, province or country) and they have been struggling in recent years because people think things are recyclable that aren't. As soon as a sorter sees one thing in a recycling box or bag that can't be recycled, they just dump the entire thing into the garbage because they don't have time to sort through every person's garbage. I wish the appropriate government would put more money into the program so that education pamphlets could be handed out or a better system developed for handling incoming recycling.

Requiring people to work is beneath their dignity. It's humiliating. Plus, they'd miss Jerry Springer.

That is the problem we have here.

When I lived in Upstate NY our community would get heavily fined if someone messed up with recycling. And there was a lot of separate bins. That turned everyone into recyclers.

He would be 102 today. Does that mean you are 70-80 years old?

When my second child was born, I thought I'd do the ecological thing and went to cloth diapers. That lasted about two months. I burn disposables anyways.

Wouldn't that be polluting your air with toxic cancer causing chemicals in the plastics
