The protesters right to free speech is equal to that of Coulter's. They cancel out.

The university is left with just a crowd control issue that they have decided to blow off. No doubt the security would have been expensive. Probably a budget matter more than a free speech one.

State of the Law: Speech Codes

That the First Amendment applies on the public university campus is settled law. Public universities have long occupied a special niche in the Supreme Court’s First Amendment jurisprudence. Indeed, the Court has held that First Amendment protections on campus are necessary for the preservation of our democracy.

    Sweezy v. New Hampshire, 354 U.S. 234, 250 (1957)...

    Keyishian v. Board of Regents, State Univ. of N.Y., 385 U.S. 589 (1967)...

    Healy v. James, 408 U.S. 169, 180 (1972)...

Papish v. Board of Curators of University of Missouri, 410 U.S. 667 (1973)...

    Widmar v. Vincent, 454 U.S. 263 (1981)...

...Unlike public universities, which are of course government actors, private universities are not legally obligated to uphold the First Amendment rights of students on campus....

Expel the protestors. Tell them to get off campus and never come back.

Did I say anything about a protester's right to free speech? No, I did not. I explicitly stated their violence violation of law. Care to address that? That's what you quoted.

And private universities are sensitive to free speech issues.

It isn't your call. In most states it's ultimately the board of regents. It's one of these cool, self perpetuating organizations where they get to 'elect' their own replacements. So rejoice! I'm sure that they will be responsive to your demands.

What school is preventing her from appearing and speaking? Send no further federal money to that school. If it is a private school you have a point.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

They are ultimately harming their students. These protesters will likely be failures in real life.
