    Problem is it's applied to the end of production, consumer goods, when in economics it's applied to the start, when it's decided to use the tree for lumber, or paper, or firewood, or myriad other uses.

    Part of my job is dealing with commercial real estate. Business is booming. Whole communities panic when these places close. The real estate itself is valuable but the big buildings on them, are generally useless.
