Ability to edit posts....

FYI -- we received an inquiry about when can one edit a post. From my experience, you can edit briefly after you post the original message w/o comment. After that, you can't. I do not know what the time frame is but the mods think it is 15 mins. We think there is a point where you can no longer edit at all. Dave

I believe, too, you can edit a post and if you add a reason, then notification will be added:

I like the way the edit feature is set up here. I often have to fix small errors and if I do it quickly you never know it. I've had situations where I was tired or something and had to edit my edit or something else I missed and then it shows I edited it. We need the feature to have limits though because I have been on forums where trolls and troublemakers post horrible things and then go back and edit it and call anyone who saw the original liars. People had to quote them to get at the truth.

I believe there's also a limit after which you cannot edit.

There will always be variations as the server cycles through apps and data.

That happens to me too. Anytime I want to edit a post, I must first exit the thread, then go back into it and edit. No clue why.

Next time that happens try just hitting F5 first (refresh) and see if the Edit Post button pops up.

I've had all the same problems. I suspect it's programming error in the software. Probably would take only minor changes by the firm that produces the software. I'm thinking @ADMIN could maybe look into this and perhaps an update has already been released. Just guessing.
