What is wrong with people!? Being ok with giving money to cities, so they can shield and protect illegals, even criminals? How can Americans be for this? Cities that protect the kind of people that killed Kate Steinly, that killed a kid that had befriend him, that commit all kinds of crimes......how can you support that? Putting illegals, illegal criminals, ahead of our citizens, never thought I'd see the day.

Before the, "yeah, but citizens commit crimes, so what's the difference", arguments start, I'll say this.....we have enough homegrown thugs running around, we don't need to import them.......so, can citizens commit crimes, then get sanctuary in one of our fine cities, or, is that luxury reserved for the illegal criminals only?

First of all, it is not only criminals that the Trump administration is pressuring local officials to inform on - it is victims, witnesses...anyone the police or other public officials come into contact with, about whose legal status some question may arise. Simply being in the country illegally is not, in most cases, a criminal offense, so the label is inappropriate.

Second, if the federal government feels strongly enough about withdrawing funding - funding, I might add, that almost universally contributes toward public safety programs that benefit those communities in many ways - they only need to find a way to do it in a legal, Constitutional manner.

I guess the anointed one will have to come up with another way to screw with funding for the cities. I wonder what lie he'll come up with now to explain the judges ruling; i'm assuming its the 9th District which will only give trump more ammo to cry about.
