We've had a Prime membership for many years, and my wife in particular uses it like crazy. I buy a lot of books and dvds, and the occasional part for something around the house, like a spare battery charger for the weed-eater, but the wife uses it for almost everything except groceries. Meds and vitamin supplements for the dogs and cats, bird food, shoes - almost everything. I probably find, on average, ten packages from Amazon on the porch in the course of most weeks.

Btw, were you aware that the U.S. Postal Service has an agreement with Amazon to deliver their packages on Sundays? It was such a huge chunk of business, the USPS couldn't refuse it.

They are delivering by drone in some areas and are going to expand that

Its not a bad idea to also check out their music library. It is large and a lot of it is free access to prime members, I also use the music channel function when using the Television app (or fire stick in my case.)

Talked to my mail gal yesterday.

Been noticing that she's been delivering smaller Amazon stuff that i got tracking notices the day prior from UPS.

So they're picking up some of the little biz from UPS and she also mentioned that she may be working one Sunday a month delivering for Amazon.

It's fun technology but even in areas where they have a distribution center nearby, i'm still not seeing how that could be more profitable than conventional deliveries.

Faster for sure - but they can only carry one medium or a few smaller packages at once from what i've read.
