I have a few engineer friends and some designers that tried to become citizens of Canada because they work there from time to time. All have been turned down.

I'd be curious to know if it's easier to become a citizen if you can demonstrate close lineage to Canada. My grandfather was from there and I still have extended family there.

I was in canada last year. Our cab drive was croatian. He was bragging about the canadian health care system. That's why he talked his buddy into immigrating to Canada to take advantage of it. Croatians have no problem getting in.

I'm a Democrat and I won't Riot if Obama loses.

I'll go to work just like I did when George Bush, Bill Clinton or Reagan was President.

The world didn't end then and it won't end Wednesday.

If Obama is elected this country will never be the same and I do not mean in a good way. More poverty, more food stamps, more unemployment, more taxes.

That may be the problem, this guy is white (well all of them) and a nuclear engineer, the one that tried the hardest. Don't remember what company but he was in Saskatoon and tried for two years until moving to a new location in Austria. Last I hear he is back now in the states somewhere out south west. I don't think John or Ray the Africans ever went there. I know they went to Alaska a few times.
