Last year, Donald Trump said that Saudi Arabia wants “women as slaves and to kill gays” — and suggested that the kingdom had ordered the 9/11 attacks.
“Who blew up the World Trade Center? It wasn’t the Iraqis,” Trump informed Fox & Friends in February 2016. “It was Saudi — take a look at Saudi Arabia, open the documents.”
The mogul reiterated this (not entirely baseless) charge on the stump, while arguing that Saudi Arabia was taking advantage of America financially — even though their monarchy “wouldn’t exist very long” without Washington’s aid.
When the candidate wasn’t painting Saudi Arabia as a tyrannical, terroristic parasite, he was, quite often, describing its faith as a malignant virus threatening the survival of Western civilization.
The Republican standard-bearer announced that “Islam hates us”; called for banning all of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims from entering the United States; and repeatedly cited the mass murder of Muslim prisoners of war with bullets dripped in pig’s blood as an inspiration for his counterterrorism policy.

Trump opted for political correctness on Islam
President Donald Trump has pulled off a reset, at least for the start of the week. Trump kicked off a trip through the Middle East and Europe with a weekend visit to Saudi Arabia.
In front of dozens of leaders from Muslim-majority countries, Trump called for unity and peace — without mentioning "radical Islamic terrorism" or American Muslims. The speech was an exercise in political correctness that Trump has rarely shown.
It was a notable shift in rhetoric, with Trump even pointing out that the main victims of terrorism are the "innocent people of Arab, Muslim and Middle Eastern countries."
Trump's aspirational tone around peace, tied to praise heaped on Saudi Arabia and other countries, was a notable departure from his past targeting of Islam.
While some experts panned the speech, it was also a tactful, diplomatic success at the beginning of Trump's first foreign trip.
The speech did not enjoy support from his power base on the American far right, which is rife with Islamophobia.

Tremendous - FABULOUS indeed!
As an aside, i don't believe Stephan "Little Hitler" Miller wrote that speech
"He's now sealed an arms deal with the $#@!ers who've been cooperating with Israel and Turkey to topple Assad for the benefit of Israel," one user wrote. "6,000,000D chess right?"
Paul Ray Ramsey, the racist vlogger who uses the moniker "RamZPaul," was similarly angry Trump was selling arms to the Saudi government.
"9/11 was caused by Saudis," Ramsey tweeted. "ISIS is funded by the Saudis. Yet we scream for war with a country that leaves us alone. Curious."
Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician and prominent Islamophobe, lamented the change in tone was evidence Trump did not realize Islam is "evil" and "barbaric and violent by nature."
