Joke of the day: Clinton asks 'Who wants a president who will lie to you?"

From the "You can't be serious" department comes this little gem. The president who gave us the never-to-be-fogotten line "I did not have sex with that woman" has taken a shot at Mitt Romney asking "Who wants a president who will lie to you?" No kidding. You cannot make this stuff up.
Campaigning for President Barack Obama in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, former President Bill Clinton struck a note of irony while attempting to criticize Mitt Romney’s campaign. “You’re laughing, but who wants a president who will knowingly, repeatedly tell you something he knows is not true?” Clinton asked, after discounting a claim in a recent Romney ad that the Obama administration’s auto bailout hurt American workers. “When I was a kid, if I got my hand caught in the cookie jar, where it wasn’t supposed to be, I turned red in my face, and I took my hand out of the cookie jar,” Clinton added.
    For those with poor memories:

Clinton lied to a congressional committee about getting his knob polished by "that woman".

The reelection of Billy Blue Balls was a true low point for society as a whole. It set as a rule, "integrity means nothing".

Maybe...just maybe ol' Bill is being as sly as a fox. I have never felt he likes Obama at all and this stumping is just political payback. So his off-the-wall comment could have been a slight on The Anointed One.

I suspect that's a bit of a stretch. Billy is smart like a shit house rat, but I doubt he's taking a shot. He's stumping for a reason. it's an investment, points he's racking up for when Hillary makes her bid in four years.

The fundamental difference between conservatives and liberals is simple.
Conservatives, like our founders, understand that man has a propensity to do evil. They accept this fact of human nature and have given us the tools to protect ourselves from those who might victimize us.
Liberals believe that under the right mandates, restrictions and incentives all that potential evil can be bred out of humanity.

Hillary will be too old in 4 years. Double standard, get over it. Bill is just keeping good graces with the dems so he can make money on the speaker circuit when this is over.

I've wondered about the age thing myself. But she's thrown herself under a bus for Obama and Bill is stumping hard...it can't be for the speaker circuit. There has to be a bigger pay off in there somewhere..
