We need a freer market for health care / insurance in the US for the majority. For those who fall through the cracks we can expand Medicaid. A current problem is some states Medicaid is too limited. Here in Virginia if you are not disabled or have minor children, you aren’t getting Medicaid at all regardless of low income. In Louisiana you can’t have more than $2000 in liquid assets- which only encourages fraud, moving assets to other family members, etc.

The test for Medicaid should be inability to qualify / pay for private insurance. If we did that, it would be next to impossible for politicians to screw with the market side of the health care equation.

ACA............affordable my ass............ Premium rates are still rising, Deductibles are still rising......
When Obie took office, there were 11 million without coverage. At the end of his term there were 20 million without.
All of this was a backdoor tax. Even if they repeal ACA, that doesn't mean the tax is going away.

That will only result in rising costs or poorer quality.
