I think you are correct. Demographics have clearly shifted. There are more takers than producers. We are on the downward path of the American experiment.

And if we all shifted, how would that work?

I absolutely think it's correct to talk of individual countries, especially Germany, which would be even stronger, if separated from the EU. But basically, the United States is not Europe;



Basically, we need to work with the rest of the world. We are a part of the rest of the world. The US is not a separate and single entity. If we are, we will die alone.

Clearly....

But that doesn't mean the the US has to do all of the heavy lifting or provide for the general defense of Europe.
