We have essentially the same Republican dominated House and the same Democrat dominated Senate and we have the same inept fellow in the Oval Office and so things are bound to change for the better now, yes? On leftwing political sites that's what the punditry class maintains, but I just don't see it happening.
The Republican House considered Obama to be a nation-hating socialist before the 2012 election and shut him down as best they could and so now they are going to change their tune on a 3 million popular vote margin? No, that's not going to happen. In point of fact neither Obama nor the Democratic Party leadership has got any meaningful leverage with which to force the House Republicans to change.
So Obama will continue to totally muck up foreign policy and the Iranians will get nuclear weapons on his watch. Israel will probably attack them. It's most likely going to get ugly. Obama will continue to have to run the domestic part of his operation via those quasi-illegal executive orders -- which the next GOP president in 2016 will have to spend a vast amount of time countermanding.
Net result . . . four more years of economic and domestic place holding. So enjoy Obama voters . . . you just did one hell of a job on this nation of ours.
