The complexities of this stuff is passing me by, not that I can't understand it, everything is so over-engineered lately and I think it's to confuse the plethora of junk that's out there.
It's an LG which is a reputable brand. Pay attention to the ratings, read both the good ones and the bad ones. If the bad ones have some "didn't work when I plugged it in" or "item was scratched" or something that can easily be remedied by returning/replacing it, then go with that.
You can also ask the seller questions on Amazon but remember, it's the seller, not an unbiased consumer.

27" is small these days.
FreeSync probably means the refresh rate is low.
The 4k monitor that is one step up (LG-27UD68) sells for well over $600 so that's probably not a bad price. I've had good luck with LG products. Microwave, electric range, refrigerator and 50" LED TV.
No refresh is 60mhz which is standard, FreeSynch is for amd cards, it smooths out screen tear when your video fps doesnt match the monitor. It only works for AMD. Nividia has its own called G-Synch but FreeSync normally adds nothing to 20 bucks to a monitor, G-synch adds a considerable amount.
You can use nividia on a freesynch monitor without the benefit of course.

27 is big enough for a home desk, remember you can only sit so far away with a home desk, you get bigger than 29-30 its really not good for gaming.
Unless you are going to mount it further away on the wall.
Also with many desks you run into a height problem with much bigger monitors.
