I only correct other's spelling and punctuation spacing when it is very irritating. One person who posts here cannot spell to save his life. Nor does he understand basic punctuation. Sometimes I have to correct him so I can respond.

When I post from my laptop I do not have all the tools I have on my desktop. I have a disorder that causes me to add and drop letters. Lots of letters. I have software that helps me spot all of the adds and drops. Even then I do not always catch letter adds or substitutions.

With common it's a tell.
