Exclamation Asian Voters Send a Message to Republicans

Once Again - Demographics are NOT on Republicans side!

I have been saying this over and over again on this Forum since I joined, so when are Republicans/Conservatives going to start seeing reality?

    Asians Voted For Obama 73%/26%

For a little perspective, consider the votes of another minority -- Asians.

Romney won among all voters making more than $100,000 a year by a margin of 54-44. Asian-Americans happen to be the highest-earning group in the U.S., out-earning whites, and they generally place enormous emphasis on family. A perfect fit for Republicans, no?

No. Asians voted for Obama by 73-26; they were more Democratic than Hispanics.

It's possible that Hispanics and Asians are more communitarian than individualistic, leading them to identify more with Democrats than Republicans. But most immigrants, like most other Americans, possess both strains in their political DNA. (People rarely pull up roots and move to a new land without a strong sense of individualism.)...."

Yes Cigar, we absolutely agree that you are the "new demographic." How you confuse that with a united anything per your tag line is interesting since your whole theme is dividing by race and only uniting in your hatred of whites.

You're in charge. We are seeing the results of that daily as the real unemployment rate is around 15 percent, blacks are even more unemployed, the full time jobs are being steadily converted to part time or eliminated altogether. We see that you are printing money at the rate of $40 billion per month in a futile attempt to once more try and make Keyneism work. We see that you are piling up debt to the tune of one trillion per year. We see the record numbers for people on welfare, food stamps, and leaving the work force.

Yes, you're in charge of your very own Titanic here. Enjoy the ride.

    Cigar's message is not all-wrong.

The Tea Party needs to reach out to both Asians and Hispanics. Actually the GOP does well with Indians (south Asian) and Filipinos, but poorly with folks of Chinese and Japanese descent. This is somewhat puzzling. Asians are quite often the most egregiously victimized by Affirmative Action. Democrats sent the Japanese-Americans into internment camps during World War II (although that's getting to be seventy years ago).

Baptists have been doing quite well converting Hispanics. Given half a chance, Hispanics are quite motivated to assimilate. There is no real reason the GOP cannot do well with Hispanics, either. GW Bush was always quite popular with Hispanic voters.

I agree. The Tea Party has to make an effort to reach out to Hispanic and Asian voters. Just a few percentage points could be decisive.

I wonder how many of those "Asians" were U.S. citizens. It certainly wouldn't be a requirement if you were voting for President Obama.

And simple math says you cannot sustain social democracy where more take out than those who contribute.

Is that significant? Bush won...twice. And he was a lousy liberal, Obama worse, marching lemmings over a fiscal cliff.

So you still haven't figured out what "communitarian" means?
