Where is the NRA when black people need them?

Riddle me this.

A cop pulls over a car for a "busted tail light." A black female is driving, a black male is in the passenger seat, and a black child is behind the driver seat. The officer approaches the passenger side. The passenger informs the officer, like he is supposed to, that he owns a gun, and that it is in the vehicle. The officer shoots the black man. A year later, a trial ensues, and the jury can't immediately decide whether the cop is guilty.

Where the $#@! is the NRA? Why aren't they all over this, helping the family sue the cop that shot the man for owning a gun?

If you are wondering, I am of course referring to Jeronimo Yanez, the St. Anthony, MN police officer who shot and killed Philando Castile.

Tell me that race has nothing to do with this, please. Explain that to me.

It's not a bait thread. Just pretend he is as innocent as possible. Why isn't the NRA responding to this? They would any other time, whether the accused gun-toting party is innocent or not.
