“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

I just did. You quoted it. Did you not even read the posts?
Ok, just to be clear: the person who wrote the piece in the op is not representative of liberals in general. We, or I at least, do not think shooting congressmen of any stripe (or anyone else with opposing political views for that matter) is acceptable behavior and we should not be encouraging it.

Yes, your second post got to the point. And I agree, what he advocates is abhorent.
But now you go back to he's not a true liberal when all it is is you don't agree with his position.
There's some young libertarian bloggers, like That Guy T and Matthew Drake, among others, that I listen to with some interest but as of late they have turned into Trump supporters. I disagree with them nearly 100% on libertarian grounds but that doesn't mean they aren't still libertarians. Libertarianism is a broad range of views, just as liberalism and conservatism are.
