If You Think Campus Free Speech Is No Big Deal...

The prof in this case is "deeply progressive."

    This SJW run amok.

If You Think Campus Free Speech Is No Big Deal, Watch This Shocking Vice News Report From Evergreen State College

...Thursday's Vice News segment from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, where (as Ben Haller has written here previously) things have gone pear-shaped ever since a lone white professor refused to stay home during an activist "Day of Absence" for those with pallid skin pigment. Vice News correspondent (and former Reasoner/current Fifth Columnist) Michael Moynihan visited the embattled campus to query the antagonists in the controversy, and the results are stunning, infuriating, bananas. I have often wondered what it would be like to capture people in the midst of an ideological re-education exercise; now I wonder no more....

This was discussed here on the forum a couple of weeks ago, I think it was, and I believe we're all, regardless of politics or other beliefs, in agreement that the students are wrong, out of control and clueless. That first video doesn't even seem real to me; it resembles nothing so much as a parody documentary that someone might have created.

If I were in charge of that university, I would seriously consider, at this point, just giving parents their money back and shutting the whole thing down. Either that or reading the riot act to the student body: get back to class, stop calling people names, insulting your professors and acting like idiots or you're gone.

My youngest son spent a year at Evergreen about six years ago. I haven't asked him whether he saw any signs of this kind of insanity when he was there, but I'm going to have to do that.

College has basically turned into re-education camps that radicalize and make young people stupider.

Government primary school graduates now learning drivel at university to end up as excellent restaurant servers and baristas. Well done PC cult leaders you've raised the dumbest generation.

Right, but the prof in the video who caused the big stir is a "deep progressive" and you can't deny the underlying cause of equality, at least before the law as in voting. The problem he sees is the students themselves created the racism, via reverse discrimination.

The college president gave in to all their demands. Does that imply there was racism on campus? I haven't looked into that.
