He is doing so by driving all our manufacturing offshore or out of business.

Skyrocketing electric rates and ever-tighter environmental regs are driving what’s left of our steel industry offshore.

We have not built but one oil refinery since 1977 thanks to New Source Review. America will find itself in the ludicrous position Iran finds itself – hip-deep in crude but lacking the refinery capacity to meet domestic demands.

Regulations are driving dozens of coal-fired power plants off-line. Natural gas plants wil replace them eventually but these plants are subject to the same draconian regs as the coal plants and permit will take years to obtain. In the interim, the US will see rolling blackouts (at best) become a regular occurrence. Although natural gas is less expensive than five years ago and in plentiful supply (if the EPA doesn’t foul up fracking) the natural gas still has a higher cost (in $/MMBTU) than coal and this even washes out the higher efficiency of gas turbines over steam turbines. So electricity will be more and more expensive and even more energy-intensive industries (like aluminum) will be driven offshore.

ObamaTax is causing even big defense contractors like Boeing and Lockheed-Martin to lay off people.

America did its bit to win World War II and has dominated the world for half a century because it could out-produce anyone. That day is rapidly ending and Red Dawn gets ever closer.
