What breed of canine do you own or would suggest owning?

I'm looking to adopt or buy a dog. What breed to you own or suggest owning and why? I have a house and yard and plan on bringing the pup with me to my office so it doesn't mope around the house lonely during the workweek. I am seriously looking at French Bulldogs like these because I think ugly is cute and they look stout with a good disposition.

I love shepherds, weve owned more than a couple over the years. Now I have a cairn terrier he was 12 last month and I love him every bit as much as I loved my shepherds.

Max is hardheaded which is a breed trait, he doesnt always listen and he doesnt protect us but hes my little big boy. Hes always with me in the house, makes my wife mad lol

To be honest Id recommend both breeds for different reasons of course

    Jack Russell Terrorist!

Very lively little dog. Affectionate, smart, not aggressive, loves everyone, really good around people and children, very sturdy little dog. Loves to play and is fearless. I saw one herding horses one day and both the horses and the dog seemed to be enjoying it.

I have had two Molly and Jethro, although I can't decide if that's Jethro Gibbs, Jethro Tull or Jethro Bodine, they have a relatively long life, around 15 years. I call them Jack Russell Terrorist because they are very hyper and we were told to buy the calmest one of the litter. I would have hated to have the most active!!

    Can't go wrong

Whatever you get, may I suggest adoption? There are to many good dogs on death to encourage for profit breeding. Go to the pound and look, i'm sure one will jump out at you.

I had an Irish Setter once. She loved to run and hunt.

Advice: Don't get a dog unless you have time to walk it or let it run.

Newfoundland Dog. And don't adopt. It degenerates the breeds.

Go to the shelter and find a dog that has little chance of adoption and take him home.

It would probably be the best thing that could happen to both of you.
