If the issues you addressed concerned you so, would you not want the millions of illegals deported, after all, the countrys uninsured like me are bad enough without adding millions more to the tab.
There are only millions of illegals because there are employers of illegals. There is dishonesty in the argument about illegals. If there is no work, they will not come. However, there are employers that rely on that source of cheap labor to survive. If the argument becomes honest and recognizes the need, then perhaps the illegals will come by legitimate invitation and those health care costs will be borne by their employers. So long as the argument is dishonest and hyperbolic, there will be no resolution. Either employers have to suck it up and do without the cheap labor that they need to survive or there need to be programs to supply that labor. That discussion has not taken place. Everyone avoids it because no matter which way you look at it, it is politically unpopular for some demographic so the government employs expensive bandaid solutions. The fact is that there are jobs that Americans don't want but pretend that they want or won't take for the hourly wage offered. If Americans were willing to work for those wages, there would be no major issue with illegals. However as has been documented in Europe, there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you bring in that cheap labor and they are in the country long enough, they have children, build lives and then there are humanitarian issues that come into play. It is not an easy discussion.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

I would gladly take one of those jobs, I am a hard worker and not afraid of it, having a record is a big handicap, my last offense was in 2005 and I was released and off probation by 2008. Zero trouble since, would I be able to fill out an application with out the mark of cain? Oh hell no, thus being marginally self employed, further complicating a job search.

So please don't tell me americans wont take those jobs.
