So you are both correct in a sense.
Sword was thus a metaphor , not a real sword as poor starman mistook.

(Long time no see, how you doing?)

No the guy had his ear cut off. His people did fight battles with bloodshed. When we say, put on the full armor of God, it means know His word. When we say the Bible is our sword we are saying His truth. But God has sent them out to fight battles with real swords or manmade ones.

    Doing good, thank you.

What I don't understand is why if you ask a Christian a question why can't they tell you the answers from His word. If they don't know off hand they should be able to find it. You said you asked your parents and they sent you to nuns instead of going to the Bible.

If people must attack atheism, at least learn to spell it first.
News: Rich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor people.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

I think especially in the Catholic Church they worry more about works than faith as if your works and rituals can get you into Heaven. They also have strange doctrines.

I think that's just being Catholic. At least in those days, 50 years ago.

Ask someone like @roadmaster, she knows the Bible and could have answered my questions.

Yet that's what Chritian writers like G.K. Chesterton loved about the Catholic Church, the rituals, which if repeated by osmosis got you closer to Christ.

I would argue, know what it is first, which most who claim to be atheist have no clue.
